I didn't see the debate nor was I interested. I live right outside NYC, and I always laugh how they talk about making it affordable? I do not live in NYC for years because I cannot afford to live there. It is not for everyone. You are not owed the ability to live there.

A couple of excerpts below. One says our migrant crisis was due to migrants sent from Texas. No mention of the fact that those migrants in Texas got there by strolling across our open southern border, that Texas had a severe crisis due to this influx and that Chicago is a Sanctuary City which claims to welcome them.
The other excerpt mentions that Chicago has spent $600M taking care of these people, mostly Venezuelans, but doesn’t mention that Chicago now has such a severe budget shortfall now that the mayor wants to raise taxes to help deal with it. This is quite literally wildly insane. Video below is of a City Hall meeting where residents have 3 min. each to tell the mayor what they think of him.
