Citizens United: HOLDING: "Political spending is a form of protected speech under the First Amendment, and the government may not keep corporations or unions from spending money to support or denounce individual candidates in elections. While corporations or unions may not give money directly to campaigns, they may seek to persuade the voting public through other means, including ads, especially where these ads were not broadcast." DEFINITION: Political :"relating to the government or the public affairs of a country." So any spending related to the government or affairs of the public is according to the Citizen United, is an extension of FREEDOM OF SPEECH,

This leads to the obvious conclusion that support of government is a matter of freedom of speech. Thus our support of government through taxation is, according to Citizen United a matter of free speech, we the people may persuade government (to change) by using our freedom to spend on their support or not. We ought to be able to select what parts of governance we support by the same ruling.
