Twitter, de-platformed me on January 8th, 2021 (I think), the same day millions of others were banished. At least I can still login to my suspended acct to see the 3 posts a day that Twitter still allows me.
I’ve tried to appeal 3X since Elon bought Twitter and they are adamant that I not return. So weird, they let Clif High back on and others. How could I possibly be more “dangerous” than Clif High?
Social media is complete trash now, and is nothing more than a distraction at this point. The only way forward is to make them irrelevant by not using them and by opting out of any data collections they do in any way possible.
No. I’m pretty much flying blind, because I don’t really have a Twitter acct. The warnings are constantly flashing about my not having the right to do anything and being rate-limited – and asking me to pay $8/mo, so that I can at least see what’s going on (or maybe that’s a robo thing and were I to pursue that, they’d say, “No, you’re perma-banned”.
When I hear everybody screaming about how Musk saved the world when he bought Twitter, I feel very left out, because I’m not allowed to “like”, let alone post anything and then, after I’ve viewed 3 posts, I’m told, I’ve reached my quota for the day.
So I have to be very judicious about how I use Twitter, which is mainly to download videos for my website/Substack.
I didn’t do anything wrong or crazy, they just want me off.
What’s very weird is that I was de-platformed by TRUTH in 2022, which was nuts, because after all the de-platforming, including by my business partners in Big Tech (mass email services and the like, as a publisher), I don’t even post on TRUTH, I just “like” and “retruth”.
I contested that and was put back on, because I seriously barely post, at all. I upload the occasional good meme, that’s it.
I’m shocked I haven’t been kicked off of here, yet.
But Tore Maras says many of those not reinstated, it’s because their accounts are being used as evidence in a case against the Government about FISA abuse. So maybe that’s what’s going on.
I certainly have not been informed of that by anybody involved with said case!
